Toyota Celica ST205 GT-Four
So good at rallying, Toyota got banned for it
The ST205 was Toyota’s rally weapon for the road: a turbocharged 3S-GTE, all-wheel drive, and homologation numbers built so the WRC car could exist. Then in 1995, the factory team was caught with a turbo restrictor modification so clever it fooled scrutineers until it didn’t. Toyota was excluded from the season and banned for 1996. The road car kept its reputation anyway, and arguably gained one.
This one comes in black, and it’s 285 pieces built to the real car’s low, smooth, rally-bred proportions. The doors, bonnet and boot all open. Not a generic coupe shape wearing a Toyota badge.
