Subaru Impreza WRX STI - 22B
Three titles. Two doors. One legend
In 1998, Subaru celebrated three straight World Rally Championship manufacturers’ titles by building the road car closest to its rally car. It had a 2.2-litre boxer, hugely widened arches and a two-door body. Only 400 were made for Japan, and they sold out almost immediately. A handful made it to Australia, and today the 22B is one of the most sought-after Japanese cars ever built.
This one comes in blue, and it’s 308 pieces built to the real car’s wide, squat, rally-bred proportions, with opening doors and bonnet. Not a generic coupe shape wearing a Subaru badge.
