Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX - AE86
Tofu delivery not included
By the mid-80s, most small cars were switching to front-wheel drive. The AE86 stuck with rear-wheel drive and a high-revving twin-cam four, and that was enough. It was light and balanced, and it quietly became the car the original drift scene learned on, with Keiichi Tsuchiya famously sliding one through Japan’s mountain passes. Later, a certain tofu delivery run made it a legend to a whole new generation.
This one comes in the classic black and white, and it’s 313 pieces built to the real car’s light, wedge-shaped proportions. Not a generic retro shape wearing a Toyota badge.
